The management staff of the following departments (including contract services and vendors) of Tennessee healthcare institutions:

  • Environmental Services
  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Plant Operations
  • Safety
  • Infection Control
  • Central Services

  • Participation in THESA's Management Development Program, an 80-hour course developed to meet the needs and interests of healthcare environmental services personnel
  • Eligibility for the THESA Registry Program, designed to provide verification of the qualifications of environmental services professionals.

Goals & Objectives

  • To improve patient care in Tennessee through education and the study of new developments and techniques related to healthcare environmental services.
  • To gain an understanding of the common problems of healthcare institutions and help employees solve identified problems for the benefit of their institutions.
  • To develop and implement plans for efficient cooperation with other departments.
  • To share knowledge and information for the common advancement of environmental services.
  • To share training methods which will promote a high standard of employee efficiency and skill.
