  • How did you end up in health care? A friend and mentor of mine suggested it after I was transitioning out of the Navy.
  • What is the biggest challenge you are facing in your job? Staying ahead of the 'change' curve, and empowering those around me to drive results while maintaining operational (and political) balance.
  • Who has been your biggest inspiration in your career and why: Michael Mayo, FACHE, president, Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, FL, for how he taught, and led, by example.
  • What would you be doing if you weren't in health care? Probably working in politics.
  • I can't believe I did this: Performed in Carnegie Hall.
  • Dream retirement: Anything that involves golf and making a positive contribution to others.
