Spray Receives THA Small, Rural Leadership Award

Russ Spray, CEO, Harton Regional Medical Center, Tullahoma, recently received the 2012 THA small or rural leadership award in recognition of his service to rural healthcare in Tennessee.

The award was presented during the association’s recent small or rural hospital conference. .

It was presented during the Tennessee Hospital Association’s (THA) recent small or rural hospital conference.
“Russ Spray has been an outstanding rural healthcare representative and leader for rural hospitals in Tennessee,” said THA President Craig A. Becker. “He also has been a great supporter of THA’s rural health efforts within the state and the communities in which he has worked.”

Spray joined Harton Regional Medical Center in 2011 and previously served as CEO at River Park Hospital, McMinnville, TN, Lincoln County Health System, Fayetteville, TN, and Southern Tennessee Medical Center, Winchester, TN. He has been a very active member of the THA board of directors, served as chair of the THA Council on Government Affairs and has been a member of the THA Solutions Group board of directors.

THA, founded in 1938, serves as an advocate for hospitals, health systems, home health agencies and other healthcare organizations and the patients they serve. The association offers products and services through THA Solutions Group, Inc. and the Tennessee Hospital Education and Research Foundation, Inc., its nonprofit education program.
