THA Information Services
THA Information Services provides timely data and information to association members for planning and evaluation and to other THA divisions for member advocacy and education.
Information Services also manages the THA Health Information Network, formed by THA in 1999 to assist member hospitals in meeting the requirements for data reporting mandated by State law.
Through partnerships with other associations and leading industry vendors, the THA HIN provides members with the additional products, services, consulting and technical support they need to improve their facility's efficiency, effectiveness and quality of care.
THA IS also maintains a variety of datasets, including:
- statewide UB-92 databases and hospital-specific special reports available through the THA HIN,
- data collected from the Tennessee Joint Annual Reports of Hospitals and Home Health Agencies,
- THA Sanctions Databank, web-based access to the OIG Cumulative Sanctions database,
- hospital data from the annual AHA survey,
- birth and mortality data from the Office of Vital Records to analyze birth migration and birth outcome patterns among Tennessee hospitals,
- census population data and age, race, and sex specific projections for each county to the year 2010.
