THA Member Services

May 2009

Over 200 healthcare facilities, including hospitals, home care agencies, nursing homes, and health-related agencies and businesses, pay annual dues in support of THA activities.

Another 2,000 employees of member healthcare institutions, such as administrators, board members, nurses and the many health professionals represented through affiliate groups, maintain personal membership in the association.

THA is closely associated with 25 affiliate and allied healthcare organizations that primarily are organized to benefit the professional interests of their personal members.

The THA psychiatric constituency section and rehabilitation constituency section meet to allow these respective hospitals to discuss mutual interests, particularly rules, regulations and other advocacy issues pertaining to mental health and rehabilitation. Their recommendations then are forwarded to the association's board of directors.

The THA Council on Diversity focuses on minority health issues, as well as educational opportunities for minority students in health care administration.

The THA Trustee Council solicits hospital trustee participation in recommending policy development and education programs to the THA board staff.

In addition, THA manages the Tennessee Hospice Organization and provides advocacy, education and accounting services.
